A new study on violence against women conducted over four decades and in 70 countries reveals the mobilization of feminist movements is more important for change than the wealth of nations, left-wing political parties, or the number of women politicians.

Arizona has life defined as before conception now.
That means I am murdering a baby when I have my period. That means every boy who jerks off is a serial killer.
Does this make sense to you?

An Eagle had made her nest at the top of a lofty oak. A Fox, having found a convenient hole, lived with her young in the middle of the trunk; and a Wild Sow with her young had taken shelter in a hollow at its foot. The Fox resolved to destroy by her arts this chance-made colony. She climbed to the nest of the Eagle, and said: “Destruction is preparing for you, and for me too. The Wild Sow, whom you may see daily digging up the earth, wishes to uproot the oak, that she may, on its fall, seize our families as food.” Then she crept down to the cave of the Sow and said: “Your children are in great danger; for as soon as you shall go out with your litter to find food, the Eagle is prepared to pounce upon one of your little pigs.” When night came, she went forth with silent foot and obtained food for herself and her young; but, feigning to be afraid, she kept a look-out all through the day. Meanwhile, the Eagle, full of fear of the Sow, sat still on the branches, and the Sow, terrified by the Eagle, did not dare to go out from her cave; and thus they each, with their families, perished from hunger.
Live in fear based on lies or talk to your neighbor and learn about his choices in life?
It’s about respect people - learn it, use it, earn it, and above all don’t abuse it.

“Just close your eyes.”
I tend to be a non-violent person. Then people willfully ignore my rights and my voice and my humanity. Then I want to stabby stab them in the face.
Sigh.

A little Lie won't kill you.....

Just because you cannot get pregnant does not mean I cannot think clearly, ethically, morally, rationally about my body, human life or the consequences of my actions. Just because you cannot get pregnant does not mean that I do not have rights when I am pregnant. I have responsibility but am powerless. You have power but are irresponsible with my rights.
By not trusting me, you force me to trust you. And YOU are not trustworthy.

I wonder what Susan would think of Palin + Bachmann.

It is scary to think that the government feels it can negate the bodily autonomy of pregnant women for any reason, let alone for something like this. Where does this stop? If a doctor lacking scientific support can force a woman into a hospital of his choosing for the tests of his choosing, what’s next?

Because you know those silly chicks, and how they get their kicks. They need help from the likes of Dan Newberry, a man with a penis, to understand the ramifications of what’s going on around them.
This comes at a time when women, their lady parts, and what they do with them during sexytime once again has arisen as a political issue, guaranteeing that more than a few politicians and pundits are going to go out there and make complete stammering idiots of themselves.

We label everything in life to know where we have commonalities with others. All too often though it just polarizes the people with seemingly opposite labels. Why is human the most common label for us and yet we ignore it, trample on it, and avoid. Preferring narrower labels that cause more friction and less willingness to deal with the human behind the narrow ideas?
I am a human writing a feminist blog. Not because I hate men. I write because I see a group that has been labeled and treated as less than human. So I focus my attention there trying to help lift woman to full human status.
Not toys to be raped and left. Not collateral damage in wars. Not workers stuck under a glass ceiling.
Humans.
With their own brilliance. With their own rights. With their own light in the world.
